Happy Gurpurab to all our Nishkam families celebrating this very special occasion. 今天 is the 552nd anniversary of the birth of the first Guru Ji, Guru Nanak Dev ji. Our children participated in a whole school enrichment afternoon where classes listened and discussed the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They participated in a number of different activities including reciting shabhads which they had been learning then shared together in our assemblies. Congratulations to our winners of the Gurpurab competition. We had many entries and it really was very difficult to choose the winners. It was lovely to see so many pupils sharing their amazing range of skills. Thank you to you all for your participation. You will receive a certificate for your thought and effort with the entry. 做得好. 今天 our Early Years were lucky enough to go on their first ever school trip! Everyone was super excited, the coach journey was a highlight. We went to visit Sycamore Adventure in Dudley, a morning filled with outdoor fun & 探索. 美高梅游戏官网在水里、沙子里和泥里玩. We were a little soggy and dirty but that as all part of the fun. 今天, children have been taking part in acts of remembrance across all faiths, 文化和背景. This morning we had a remembrance assembly that was delivered by Reverend Ray Gaston from The Church of St Chad and St Mark. The children learned about the meaning of armistice day and the different types of poppies that we all proudly wear. As well as observing a 2-minute silence to reflect, pupils wrote their own prayers for peace and linked them to our golden threads of Love, Peace and Forgiveness that ask for a brighter future! #爱#和平#原谅

Happy Bandi Chhor/Diwali to all our families celebrating. We too have been celebrating yesterday through engaging in a range of arts and crafts activities relating to this special religious event in the Sikh and Hindu faiths.
